Community-Led

Designed with communities, not just for them

Every programme starts with listening. Community Q&A sessions, town-hall style discussions, and local leadership shape how RFC’s education, agriculture and climate programmes are delivered on the ground.

How each focus area works

We work to expand access to quality, inclusive education for children and youth in marginalized communities, addressing barriers of cost, distance and inclusion for learners with disabilities.
We support smallholder farmers with training and resources in sustainable agriculture practices that protect soil and water resources while improving yields and household incomes.
We are developing community-led eco-tourism initiatives around the region’s forest reserves, including the Kom-Wum and Ako-Mbembe Forest Reserves, creating income opportunities while protecting natural heritage.
We advance women’s and girls’ health, education and economic empowerment, and champion gender equality across every programme we run.
We implement projects that mitigate the effects of climate change and educate communities on building long-term resilience.
We promote access to clean energy solutions and environmentally sustainable practices at the household and community level.
